The Flyers made a minor-league prospect swap with the Seattle Kraken yesterday before they played the New Jersey Devils.

They sent forward Devin Kaplan to Seattle in exchange for forward David Goyette. Both players are 22-year-old 2022 draftees who have primarily played in the AHL.
Key details:
- Kaplan (Flyers’ 2022 third-round pick, No. 69): 6’3″ winger. In 2025-26 with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, he had 5 goals and 8 assists (13 points) in 49 games, plus 62 PIM. He made his NHL debut with the Flyers in April 2025 (one game).
- Goyette (Kraken’s 2022 second-round pick, No. 61): Forward (has played center and wing). Strong junior production in the OHL, but limited AHL offense so far — career 28 points (9G-19A) in 108 games with the Coachella Valley Firebirds. In 2025-26 he had 3 goals and 7 assists (10 points) in 51 games.

Both players will switch AHL teams (Kaplan to Coachella Valley; Goyette to Lehigh Valley). It’s a low-stakes change-of-scenery deal for two underperforming prospects rather than a major roster move.
