The Lehigh Valley Phantoms lost 4-3 in overtime, but gained a valuable point for the playoff push. They currently sit with a two point advantage and a game in hand over Springfield for the last playoff spot in the Atlantic Division. The top six teams make the playoffs.

Bryce Brodzinski and Devin Kaplan

A fifth year senior in Bryce Brodzinski and the University of Minnesota were eliminated last night by Boston University. Flyers Prospect Devin Kaplan moves on, after rallying from an early 2-0 deficit.

Brodzinski finished the game with 1g,1a and finishes the tournament with 1g,3a in two games played. Let’s see if the Flyers sign him, he has to be signed by August 15, 2024

For those who want to get to know more about Bryce Brodzinski, here is a good piece I wrote on him just the other day.

Alexei Kolosov

Alexei Kolosov has arrived in town, per Anthony DiMarco of the Fourth Period. He will go to the Phantoms, as Danny Briere alluded to this past week.

Parker Gahagen has been sent to the Reading Royals, per AHL Transactions, so this paves the way for Kolosov to join the Phantoms in Allentown.

Kolosov will be a welcome addition, to the inconsistent Goaltending that the Phantoms have dealt with this season.

  1. I know the politics say you can’t send Peterson or Sandstrom to the ECHL, but Gahagen has been the most consistent goalie for the Phantoms all year. I’d love to see phantoms ride with him and Kolosov. Do you think Gahagen will be back?
