Today was a great day for the 2017 second overall draft pick in Nolan Patrick. Anytime Patrick hits the ice it’s a good thing. This means he hasn’t suffered a setback, and appears to be progressing towards resuming his NHL career, while donning a Flyers sweater.

For the second straight week, Patrick played in a non-contact scrimmage coordinated by Ryan White. The date of participation of his last scrimmage was October 15, 2020, where he tallied a few goals to pair with a few apples. Patrick was fast, and determined. Exactly one day later he re-signed with the Flyers while accepting his Qualifying Offer for $874,125.

When healthy Patrick is a very talented hockey player. He’s a good skater, who skates well. Patrick is effective with acceleration, has good top speed, and has strong mobility. He’s a good 200-foot player, strong with the puck and away from the puck. Patrick is an excellent passer, a confident puck carrier, he also possesses a heavy shot that is accurate.

Like I previously stated. Anytime this playmaker in Patrick hits the ice it’s a good thing. It shows he’s progressing, and improving like Fletcher has previously stated. Today he was flying, and digging for pucks in the corner. At the end of the day everyone just wants Patrick to return to the Flyers lineup sooner rather than later.
