The Philadelphia Flyers are attempting to salvage whatever is left of this nightmarish season with three games remaining to compete. While the Flyers had some success against the Penguins in a recent 7-2 victory of the top team in the division, they also lost the next night 7-3, almost negating the progress made. That success is the perfect complement to a dreadful season that left most Flyers’ fans disappointed with practically everyone on the team. Couple that with an underperforming talent pool and a recent suspension to Shayne Gostisbehere, it can only make most fans think, why us?

On this episode of Getting Gritty Wit It, I welcome back guest, Frankie Staskel and new guis Samantha Wismer to talk about all of the recent disappointments on the season. However, the episode ends strong with hope and the promise of top prospect Cam York to the NHL lineup. Things might seem out of wack right now, but it’s always important to play the long game when dealing with winning a championship. It’s easy to get frustrated at times like these, but the ownership should not. We expect an aggressive yet measured offseason to talk about moving forward.
