Travis Konecny said the Flyers’ Power Play “is not an issue” after their recent games.
These were his comments following the team’s early-season struggles (0-for-8 on the power play through the first three games of 2026-27), Konecny stated, “I don’t think it is an issue, honestly. We had so many good looks tonight. One’s going to go in. I don’t think it’s an issue.” He added that he was more frustrated with his own play in the final stretch of a game, in his presser with the media last night.
This came amid the Flyers’ ongoing Power Play issues (they ranked near or at the bottom of the NHL in recent seasons) and early adjustments under coach Rick Tocchet, including moving Konecny onto the top unit in place of Porter Martone at times. Konecny has been getting power-play time and remains a key part of the top six.
Konecny’s healthy and active with two assists in the first three games of the 2026-27 season, it they have to find a way to muster something with the man advantage.
