It’s hard envision something good happening yesterday during Flyers game, where they were absolutely embarrassed 9-2 by the Washington Capitals. As a matter of fact there is only one good thing that happened for the Flyers, and that was Bobby Brink’s first NHL point. He netted an assist on James van Riemsdyk ‘s second goal of the night with 3:34 remaining in the third period (JvR’s 20th goal of the season).

“A dream come true,” was Bobby Brink’s perspective on playing last night. “Playing with the other guys, and our team you can see the skill.”

The Flyers arguably played one of their worst games all year and allowed a season high nine goals, to which the last time they allowed nine goals was on March 17, 2021 in a 9-0 drubbing to the New York Rangers.

Both Carter Hart and Cam Atkinson left the game with lower body injuries after the first period. Flyers’ backup Goaltender Martin Jones said following the game that Hart was laboring his right leg, while Atkinson was hit into the boards after he moved awkwardly down low ) Vulnerable position) along the boards before Tom Wilson hit him into the boards.

It was just one of those night’s that you would like to forget, it was one of those nights that Flyers fans were embarrassed, it was one of those nights that a Flyers fan flicked off the television for another program, it was one of those nights at the Flyers should forget and forget it quick.

Fortunately, the Flyers are able to get back at it right away, as they play the second game of a back to back against the New York Rangers tonight at home. There are only nine games left, in what has shaped up to be a very tough Flyers season.
