After that brutal 0-9 start, the Flyers finally have some life — three straight wins, and the kids are carrying the load Matvei.Michkov and Porter Martone sparked the first one against Ottawa,
Michkov went off for two against Colorado, and last night in Buffalo it was rookie Cole Knuble dropping his first two NHL goals in a 3-1 win.
“It’s very infectious,” Flyers’ Head Coach Rick Tocchet said after the Buffalo game, about the youth infusing the lineup with some spark. They love coming to the rink. They love putting their gear on; it’s not a chore. It’s nice to see that,”
Zegras has been cooking too. Undermanned and full of rookies, and they’re the ones dragging this team out of the hole.Season’s still early and they’re only at 3-6-3, but the energy is completely different. Keep it going.
