Royals General Manager David Farrar tries to salvage the season, thus firing second year Head Coach James Henry. Since that change, it has propelled the Royals into a tie for the last playoff spot in the North Division with 57 points, after finishing the weekend 1-1.

Yvan Mongo stayed hot with a goal against Worcester in the first game of the weekend (Friday night). This left him with six points in his last two games played after netting his 14th of the season.

Joe Nardi also stayed hot as he tallied his sixth point in two games, as he registered an assist on Mongo’s goal. Jake Bricknell scored the shootout winner, and Nolan Maier was fantastic with making 39 shots on 40 shots faced. He was also 3-3 in the shootout to earn the 2-1 victory in the shootout.
