While the Flyers are trying to win two straight, the Reading Royals are on fire, finally right!!! They are on a six game winning streak, as new Head Coach James Henry improved to 11-5-1 on the season, while first year Flyers Head Coach John Tortorella is 9-12-5 on the season. The Royals are doing a great job in limiting quality scoring chances for their opponents, and it’s led by Mason Millman who also tallied two assists this past weekend. Millman has finally found his niche with the Royals and the professional level of hockey for that matter. He is infused with much confidence, finally right.

Simply put, the Royals are flying high right now, while the Flyers are decimated with injuries, trying to keep some what of a season afloat.

Maier has been phenomenal between the pipes for the Royals this season. He has seen time with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and has split time between the pipes with Pat Nagle, as well. Maier is 6-2-1 on the season, with a 2.38 GAA, and a .910 Save Percentage. Very Impressive indeed from the rookie, as Maier is getting his first taste of professional hockey. He put forth excellent camps with the Flyers, so it comes as no surprise he’s excelling with the Royals.

Colin Felix is a veteran that stabilizes the youth of Reading, and he now has three goals and five assists on the season. Max Newton leads the team in goals with (11) now, and assists with 11 for his efforts as he continues to shine. Will MacKinnon registered two assists in the victory as he now has two goals and five assists on the season.

The Royals seem to have everything clicking at the moment, so let’s hope it continues onto this Wednesday against a tough Maine Mariners club.
