The NHL deadline for teams to extend qualifying offers (QOs) to their Restricted Free Agents (RFA’s) was today, and the Flyers did extend qualifying offers to four of their RFA’s.

The Flyers were expected to qualify their key RFA’s to retain exclusive negotiating rights (and matching rights if another team makes an offer sheet). Flyers’ General Manager Daniel Briere has publicly indicated strong interest in keeping core young players.

Teams don’t always qualify every RFA (they sometimes let lower-priority ones walk as UFA’s to free up cap space or roster spots), hence what transpired today.
They did not qualify the following RFA’s, per PuckPedia:
- Karsen Dorwart
- Christian Kyrou
- Tucker Robertson
- Brett Harrison
- Artem Guryev
- Phil Tomasino
These six players now become free agents.

Timeline Notes
- Deadline: Qualifying offers due by 5 p.m. ET today (June 29).
- Free agency opens: Noon ET on July 1.
- QO’s allow the Flyers to match any external offers and keep RFA status. They typically expire around July 15 unless extended.
