The Flyers hit the ice once again for a late morning practice with 24 players on the ice, and they were welcomed by the Captain Claude Giroux. This Flyers team desperately needed some regulars, and fortunately Giroux has returned to play tomorrow against the New York Rangers.

Of course, with missing key regulars in the lineup such as Travis Konecny, Claude Giroux, Scott Laughton, Justin Braun, Oskar Lindblom, and Jakub Voracek the lines would be shuffled in ways unimaginable to include the Power Play Units. Here were the lines and pairings from practice today:

JvR-Couturier-Farabee

G-Hayes-Patrick

Bunnman-Raffl-NAK

Twarynski-Andreoff-Sushko

Provorov-Ghost

Sanheim-Myers

Hägg-Gustafsson

Elliott

Hart

PP1: Hayes, Couturier, Farabee, JvR, Provorov

PP2: Giroux, Patrick, NAK, Gustafsson, Ghost

The new look fourth line could wreak some havoc tomorrow. It’s great to see Twarynski get some reps, as he will be playing in his first game of the season tomorrow. He’s physical, and can pot big goals. Twarynski is a former goal scorer for the Kitchener Rangers.

What will transpire tomorrow is anyone’s guess. All we do know is that the Flyers will indeed play the Rangers tomorrow night, “Giroux looked good” Alain Vigneault said following practice. “Had a lot of pop.”

“There is just too much talent there,” Vigneault said in regards to Oskar Lindblom and Nolan Patrick, “Placing Patrick with Hayes is to get him going. They are very close. Putting him to wing might be a one and done thing, but it’s to get him going.”

Vigneault did say he expected Brian Elliott to start tomorrow. He said he had a tweak a little bit ago, he just wants to make sure he’s ok. Vigneault did say he looked good at practice.

“My wife is a rockstar,” Giroux said. “It’s tough to be away.”
