Nick Seeler filled in admirably the past two games and has become a fan favorite in Philly. Seeler blocks shots, and skates rather well. In addition, he has positionally sound all night, and Seeler even threw down the mitts against Jamie Oleksiak, a much more sizeable tougher opponent, “It was one of those things in the game,” Seeler said following last night’s game. “It happens. He was sticking up for his teammate, which I understand and respect. I didn’t want to back down, and he’s a big boy so it was a good scrap. It was fun. Especially after a fight, there are a lot of emotions and that’s what you saw tonight. The crowd was great tonight. I think we fed off of that and kept it rolling. It was fun.”

All good things looked to come to an end, temporarily of course, as Rasmus Ristolainen WILL make his much anticipated Flyers debut tomorrow night. Ristolainen offers the Flyers physicality, and gives them a dimension that Flyers fans haven’t been accustomed to, until recently. He can clear the porch with the best of them, allowing goaltenders to see the puck.

“I think so, it’s good to be back. ” Ristolainen said with a smile when asked if he is playing tomorrow.

Ristolainen provides the Flyers with open Ice checks, as he is able to seal gaps using physicality as a means for this purpose. Flyers fans no what Risto is able to provide, thus they want to see him in action. He has a knack for being out of position, while looking for the open ice hit, however, played well defensively for the Flyers in the pre-season. Today he referenced “Jumping out of the press box” with all the physicality that took place last night against the Seattle Kraken.

Forutnately, Ristolainen has been given a clean bill of health before tomorrow’s game against a much tougher opponent in the Boston Bruins. By tougher, I mean physically, so the proud orange clad fans can root for a player to get Risto’d tomorrow night. Ristolainen would have given Philly fans something to cheer for tomorrow night, as well.
