Martone had a strong start in just nine regular-season games, he posted four goals, six assists (10 points) with strong underlying metrics. He scored his first NHL goal in overtime against Boston (a game-winner) and continued performing well in the playoffs, including back-to-back game-winning goals early in the first-round series vs. Pittsburgh—making NHL history as a teenager.

On His Experience
Martone has spoken enthusiastically about the transition:
- He described jumping into the lineup, learning systems quickly, and getting support from coaches and teammates.
- He called playing in the NHL (and especially playoffs) a “dream come true,” noting the high stakes and excitement in Philly. espn.com
- Recent social/media clips (as of early June 2026) show him “stoked” after his first NHL experience and eager for next season. @JameyBaskow
