Owen Tippett will not play in Game 3 tonight (Flyers vs. Hurricanes, 8 PM ET at Xfinity Live Arena).
Tippett has missed Games 1 and 2 with an undisclosed (likely lower-body) injury and has been day-to-day. He’s been skating and practicing, but he’s just not able to go, per Flyers’ Head Coach Coach Rick Tocchet.
- Flyers are down 0-2 in the series and they could really use Tippett’s speed and scoring (he led the team with 28 goals in the regular season).
When Tippett returns, he would become a welcome addition to the lineup, as the Flyers need all the help they can get at home.
