Jett Luchanko (Flyers prospect, 2024 first-round pick, 13th overall) said yesterday he’s feeling good and ready to go after dealing with injuries.

At Flyers Rookie Camp the 20-year-old Center told media something along the lines of: “I think overall I just I’m feeling good and ready to go. And that was the goal over the Summer.” He also noted he’s not dealing with mobility issues and is focused on having a strong camp after using the summer to recover.
This comes after a core muscle procedure this summer (the issue had lingered for about a year and a half) and earlier problems (including a groin injury that kept him out of development and rookie camps the prior year). Luchanko looked sharp in early drills, generating chances and scoring in practice.

Luchanko has had brief NHL looks (four games each in the prior two seasons, no points) and time in the OHL (Guelph then Brantford) plus some AHL experience with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He’s expected to turn pro full-time this season, likely with the Phantoms, as the organization looks for more consistency and offense from him after a couple of developmental years affected by health and junior assignments.
He’s drawn positive early notes at camp for his skating, details, and effort as he aims to bounce back.
