The Flyers were rocking and rolling before the Coronavirus hit. C’mon already, hopefully, people can see some playoff hockey sooner rather than later. Lettttts goooo Flyerssss. Without further delay, here are our answers to your questions.

Oskar Lindblom is doing well, and his treatments are going well, according to General Manager Chuck Fletcher three weeks ago. He continues to get treatments, and he and the Flyers are being very cautious about this Coronavirus. Lindblom will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Always remain #oskarstrong.

Chuck Fletcher has had some conversations with the respected RFA’s agents, but this is a time of uncertainty right now. I don’t believe this will be imminent, as the season may still reconvene at some point, and if it does the contracts of these players could go up or down. For instance, Nolan Patrick could get more than I think he would, if indeed he does return. There is just too much uncertainty imo for some of these RFA’s to sign.

I think it’s a no brainer that Brian Elliott returns as a backup next season. Both him and Carter Hart have a great relationship. Why mess up a good thing right? Elliott played well this season when called upon, so I think he’s deserving of at least one more year.

Some players that will not return to the Flyers next season, to include injured players:

Shayne Gostisbehere (Traded)

Nate Thompson

Tyler Pitlick

If Ghost is traded, then Chuck Fletcher would re-sign Justin Braun. If Ghost is not moved, then Braun would be the odd man out. Moreover, one of Pitlick or Derek Grant will be re-signed (Not both), so in this case I think the Flyers re-sign Grant, as he is more versatile as he can play both Center and Wing.

  1. Jamie. I disagree big time. Tyler Pitlick is a force on the ice for what the expectations are of him. Bottom 6 keeper for sure. Not sure if u are watching his shifts but he is big, skates really well, is highly disruptive and the best part is he is right handed.

    1. Fletcher cannot sign both Grant and Pitlick, it’s just not realistic. However, when Fletcher through out the word “Elite” when describing Grant’s PK skills the day he traded for his services, that means 9.9 out of 10 he will be re-signed. Pitlick will command a raise of $25.3 million per, he’s only 27. Not sure if you are aware of that

  2. Braun was a waste of two high draft picks. He’s not a bad player, but he is at best, just a third pairing defenseman. Gostisbehere is still a work in progress. We just don’t know how good he really is, but why not find out

    1. Well said Gregg. Let’s see how this plays out with Ghost and Braun. It will be interesting
