Flyers’ Prospect Yegor Zavragin was traded in the KHL yesterday, as reported by KHL Elite Prospects.
Trade Details
- From: SKA St. Petersburg
- To: Metallurg Magnitogorsk (HC Metallurg)
- In exchange: SKA received defenseman Alexei Maklyukov. Metallurg also acquired forward/defenseman Yegor Zelenov alongside Zavragin, per Elite Prospects, KHL
Zavragin is expected to extend his contract with Metallurg.

Context
Zavragin, drafted by the Flyers in the 3rd round (87th overall) in 2023, had been with SKA since a 2024 trade from Yugra. In the 2024-25 KHL season, he split time between a loan to HK Sochi and SKA, showing strong play as a young goalie.

The move to Metallurg is viewed positively for his development, as it could offer more playing time on a competitive team compared to being behind others at SKA. This may delay his move to North America/Flyers organization slightly, but it benefits his growth.
