Garrett Wilson (the NHL/AHL forward) has re-signed with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He didn’t want to overshadow LeBron Day last week.

- Announcement: July 22, 2026 — The Phantoms re-signed their Captain Garrett Wilson to a one-year AHL contract for the 2026-27 season.
- He returns for his 7th season with Lehigh Valley (their all-time games played leader with 341 GP).
- Wilson, now 35, previously earned a two-way NHL contract with the Flyers in March 2026, made his first NHL appearance in nearly seven years, and was the Flyers’ nominee for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.
- He remains a veteran leader and fan favorite known for his gritty, physical style and locker room presence.
This keeps the longtime Phantom (and former Flyers call-up) in the organization as an AHL-only deal for now. Great stability for the Captain!.
