Dan Vladar was straight-up elite last night. Vladar became the fifth goaltender in franchise history to earn a series-clinching shutout.

For his efforts, Vladar made the fourth-most saves in a series-clinching shutout win over the past 70 years, per NHL Stats. “There was never a doubt. If somebody had a doubt that’s their problem. Good things happen to good people. There are good people in here, so we deserve this,” Vladar said in his post game presser.
In game 6 against the Pittsburgh Penguins, he delivered a 42 save shutout in a 1-0 overtime win for the Flyers, clinching the series and sending Philly to the second round. That was a monster performance—especially after a tougher Game 5. Vladar faced heavy pressure (Penguins outshot them badly at times), stood tall on every chance, and was the difference-maker.

Flyers fans have to be loving this version of Vladar right now. He basically put the team on his back. What a way to close out the series!!!
