The Phantoms have clinched a playoff berth, the Phantoms have clinched. Hopefully, this eases some of the pain that Flyers are feeling after blowing the playoffs towards the latter part of this season.

Elliot Desnoyers got things going with his fifth goal of the season, and that broke a 40 game goalless streak. Moreover, Adam Brooks notched his 13th goal of the season, followed with a buffing young prospect Bobby Brink with his 7th goal of the season (Empty netter).

Hunter McDonald, fresh off signing an Entry-Level-Contract (ELC), notched an assist, his fourth in just 12 games played. He stands at 6’3, and he’s even taller in person on the blue line. McDonald looks very confident, and it’s great to see him get his first taste of professional experience

Cal Petersen, believe it or not, let’s play very well since returning to the Phantoms. He was able to notch his second shut out of the season, in a 23 save effort.

Things are looking out for the franchise, so let’s hope the ride this momentum into the playoffs. The Flyers top her ass of Danny Briere and Flyers’ Head Coach John Tortorella will be in attendance this weekend watching it together. Alexei Kolosov should get the next start.
