It couldn’t be right!!!! The Lehigh Valley Phantoms did it, they pulled the unthinkable sweep of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Jacob Gaucher slammed home the rebound in overtime, off a shot by Brendan Furry. That’s not all fir Gaucher, he was a key cog in the comeback, as well, that lead to the game winning goal that sent the Penguins home packing.

Gaucher’s goal gave the Phantoms their first series victory since 2018. First series victory since 2018, just unreal stuff after coming back twice.

Lehigh Valley rallied from 3-1, and then 4-3 deficits in the third period to get the game into overtime. Emil Andrae and Tanner Laczynski’s power-play goals were scored 22 seconds apart to tie the game with 7:23 to play.

Radim Zohorna put the Penguins back on top with 3:48 left, and that sucked the energy right out of the building.Tanner Laczynski had other ideas though as he scored his second goal of the game just 34 seconds later. He really has become the Phantoms most complete forward.
