Trevor Zegras made a good comment after the Flyers’ 4-2 home loss to the Minnesota Wild.
In his post-game remarks, he said: “It’s frustrating because you play well, especially at home. These are games that we were winning last year. We can keep saying that we want to keep taking positives away, but I think we got to start, myself included, finishing some chances and giving ourselves a better chance earlier in the game.”
The Flyers moved to 4-9-4 and have dropped several close or competitive games. Zegras (who signed a four-year extension with Philadelphia earlier in 2026 after a career-high 26 goals and 67 points in 2025-26) picked up an assist in the Wild game and has been productive overall this season, but the team has struggled to close out or convert in situations they handled better last year en route to the playoffs.
Zegras also took a 10-minute misconduct in the game for frustration (tapping the ice at a referee), which coach Rick Tocchet criticized.
