Flyers’ General Manager Chuck Fletcher and Assistant General Manager Brent Flahr spoke to the media today to provide updates on Rookie Camp and Training Camp. Here are the notes from the presser, and when both camps will begin.

  1. Rookie Camp begins September 16 and concludes on September 19. It will also feature two rookie games against the New York Rangers prospects before main camp begins on September 23 (On-Ice). There are no fans allowed for Rookie Camp, but fans will be allowed for training camp
  2. September 23 is when training camp begins for the Flyers (On-Ice). FANS WILL BE ALLOWED IN ATTENDANCE, I REPEAT FANS WILL BE ALLOWED
  3. Flyers Rookie Camp (No fans)- September 16-19; Flyers Training Camp opens with fans- September 23

THU-FRI: SEPT. 16-17
On-Ice: 10:15-11:15 a.m.
On-Ice: 11:30-NOON
 
SAT., SEPT. 18:
GAME @ NY Rangers: 3:00 p.m.
MSG Training Center – Tarrytown, NY
 
SUN., SEPT. 19:
GAME vs. NY Rangers: 5:00 p.m.
Flyers Training Center – Voorhees, NJ

4. Fletcher says the Flyers will ask fans in attendance to wear masks for training camp. It appears that will be the only restriction from a Flyers standpoint.

5. Fletcher says the Flyers close to being 100% vaccinated, and he thinks they will be fully vaccinated by the start of the NHL season. #Flyers

6. Flyers Rookie Injury Report: Brent Flahr said Zayde Wisdom is out until December. He expects Tanner Laczynski to be cleared on September 17. Maksim Sushko is out for Rookie Camp. Elliot Desnoyers will do drills in camp, and Wade Allison is healthy.

7. Fletcher says the Flyers are looking forward to having fans at camp.

9. Fletcher says the Flyers have more veteran leadership this year, and that there are no more excuses. #Flyers
