On a night where 2,800 fans were back in the stands at PPG Paints Arena. The Pittsburgh Penguins showed up and the Flyers didn’t.

Concerns for Carter

Another game where Flyers goaltender Carter Hart lets up four goals or more in a game. Coming off a 3-0 shutout, where at time he looked very good, Hart showed the opposite tonight. The defense did him and the Flyers no justice, although I think Head Coach Alain Vigneault should consider letting Brian Elliott play some back to back games as he has proven this year to be able to handle the start.

Farabee is the future

I think it’s safe to say the Flyers have a young star in the making with Joel Farabee as he adds another two goals to his total of 10 for the year. He’s off to an amazing start and if he can stay hot- look out. Farabee had eight goals in 52 games last year. This year he has 10 in 19 games.

Welcome back TK….or not?

Now before everyone gets upset, I know Travis Konecny just returned from Covid protocol, but he has been a bit of a concern all year. On a playoff round last year where he was a ghost, he hasn’t show much yet this year. When will the beloved Travis show up to his potential? We will wait and see, “With my girlfriend being pregnant, I was in my room by myself the whole time,” Konecny said following the game, “Covid is no joke.”

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
