Cal Petersen made an insane sprawling save on a 2-on-1 denying Jimmy Huntington from a pass from Ivan Miroshnickenko. Petersen got his glove on the puck right on the line to keep it out. Unfortunately, that was not enough as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms fell 5-1. Hershey is just the better team, and that is made in the plays they run. They don’t make many mistakes.
Hershey is just a more prolific team, but the Phantoms did out chance and outshoot Hershey. The Phantoms blasted 31 shots on net, while Hershey only mustered 15. It just appeared the Phantoms couldn’t get nothing going, just one of those nights.
The tale of the game was Ethan Frank, as he netted two goals. He also registered an assist for his efforts for a three point game (2g,1a). It just seems that they don’t have any answers for their big players like Frank or Hendrix Lapierre, whom also tallied a goal.
With the Phantoms down 2-0 in the series, there is little time to get this right. The Phantoms face elimination Wednesday night in Allentown, PA. Win and the Phantoms extend their series for another day, lose and they are out.
