Welcome back to another addition of The Hockey Writers Ink as always, I’m Lance Green and I’ll be your host as always, my Co Host Steel will be sitting in as well.
This week we talked about three of my most recent articles. The first topic on the show that we will talk about is my latest piece Help Wanted: Shutdown Defenseman Needed! In this portion of the show, we discuss some of the topics I brought up about the Flyers defensive break downs as of late and how the NHL’s elite players are starting to cash in on our team’s weaknesses a hat trick at a time! Being one to not just point out the teams flaws I come with a solution for the team’s problems as well. Tune in to see whom that player might be and just what they have to offer Philadelphia.
Now that we addressed the needs we then move on to the wants. In an early look at just who the Flyers might look to draft in the 1st round. We discuss a gritty young forward who I suggested in an article that happens to play on the same line as one of the Flyers best prospects in the system.
In the final segment of the show, we dive deeper into the draft and discuss a player which I suggested in yet another article that came out recently who might be there when the Flyers make their selection in the 2nd round. This player also brings the pain physically each and every time he steps on the ice. When you hear his name, it might just ring a bell, because while he was growing up it just so happened, he spent a lot of time running around in the Flyers locker room before and after practices.
