Hello and welcome back to another addition of The Hockey Writers Ink. On this week’s episode Steel and I talk about two of my most recent articles that focus on the way the Flyers have been constructing the team over the past few years.

In the first article:

We will discuss the comparisons I made between the Stanley Cup winning Tampa Bay Lightnings roster and the Flyers current roster. Tampa’s is filled with plus players who are defensively responsible, and whose scouts are able to continue to find talent in undrafted gems who most have looked over. While the Flyers roster is full of over paid players whose mindset is solely focused on offense.

In the second segment we touch on points from my latest article:

Where we dissect all of Chuck Fletcher’s latest house keeping moves and what impact it may have on the team now and in the future. Were they the right ones? Or is he setting the team up for more of the same?

Then we finish the show with a bit of exciting news regarding Flyers’ winger Oskar Lindblom.

  1. Sure looks like the flyers devalued defense and finishing their checks need to rethink their game
