Here is my question, is this the best Flyers team in the last decade? I will say we will see we are not in the middle of the season yet, so let’s temper some expectations.
The Flyers continue to defeat great teams, to include the Vancouver Canucks twice. Moreover, the Flyers have beaten five top 10 teams this season: Vancouver twice, LA Kings, Colorado Avalanche, and the Vegas Golden Knights. Can we say the orange and black can make the playoffs? I will say let’s wait till after the All-Star break, then people will have a better understanding of where the team could be headed.
One thing the Flyers continue to do these days is win, as John Tortorella continues to put his stamp on the overall success of the club. He is doing great as a Head Coach of the orange and black, and he just accumulated his 723rd coaching victory in the NHL. Tortorella isn’t concerned about the milestone victory that catapulted him to 10th All-Time in coaching victories. The only thing what’s he is concerned is about winning and the team having fun.
The Flyers play another west coast game tonight at 10pm against the Seattle Kraken. Moreover, the Kraken are 13-14-9 on the season, while the Flyers are 19-11-4. The Flyers are also in second place in the Metropolitan Division behind the New York Rangers. Let’s see what happens with this young Flyers team moving forward, to see if they can continue their success they have now.
