The Flyers are in the midst of six games in nine nights. These next few games are going to be tough, grueling, wild and crazy, against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Usually Flyers vs. Penguins games are intense, and electrifying. Both teams do not like each other on the ice, and that tough love between these two teams have been seen over the course of the past ten seasons or so.

Remember Sidney Crosby saying he doesn’t like the Flyers:

Well guess what Sidney Crosby…we will see about that tonight, “We don’t like you either.”

Breaking News: Sidney Crosby will not play tonight, as he has entered Covid protocol. Rivalry aside…I really hope Crosby and his family are ok. Sports are secondary, a human life is more important. Hope everything goes ok for Crosby and his family.

Travis Konecny is back tonight, per Head Coach Alain Vigneault. To make room for Konecny, Nicolas Aubé-Kubel will be scratched tonight. Konecny skated yesterday at the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, and he met the team in Pittsburgh later that day. Tonight will be the first time all season that the Flyers are healthy as a group with a lineup that was supposed to be featured on opening night for the 2021 season (Minus Morgan Frost of course).

Again the Flyers are getting healthy at the right time as every single point matters this season, here’s a quick look at the East Division standings:

Washington Capitals- 28 points, 21 GP

Boston Bruins- 26 points, 19 GP

New York Islanders- 26 points, 21 GP

Flyers- 25 points, 18 GP

Pittsburgh Penguins- 23 points, 20 GP

The Flyers are 2-0 against the Penguins this year, but this is a different Penguins team this go around as they are 4-2 in their last six games. They appear to be getting solid goaltending from Tristan Jarry, so the Flyers should not take the Pens lightly. In games involving the Pens and Flyers these two teams can throw their records out the window, anything can happen.

“We are hard to play against right now,” said Sean Couturier following the Buffalo Sabres game on Sunday. The Flyers are looking to continue their winning ways, and extend their winning streak to four games. For their efforts, the Flyers have not allowed a goal in the last 136:33 minutes of play. What will happen tonight? Leave us your thoughts in the comments section. Happy Tuesday Flyers fans.
