This was supposed to be a season of joy and excitement, especially after falling one game short of the Eastern Conference Finals last season. Unfortunately, it’s been anything but blissful, as this season has turned out to be a complete disaster from top to bottom, to include the coaching staff and special teams.

Flyers fans have every right to be upset or displeased with this 2021 Flyers team. They lack hustle, lack grit, they lack complete effort, rather at times they look lethargic and disinterested. This team has been blown out seven times by five goals or more this season, and when you look at the roster on paper this team is too talented for this to keep happening.

The great fans of Philadelphia can get behind a team that hustles and refuses to get outworked even if they lose. They can get behind a team that has grit and cares if they are getting blown out by throwing a big hit or starting a fight. The great fans of Philadelphia will not get behind a team that quits or appears to have quit, and have accepted their fate. Unfortunately, this is on the ice product of the Flyers as of late.

No one likes to lose, but the way the Flyers are losing is wrong. A stated above a 3-1 loss, hell even a 4-1 loss is more bearable than a 6-1 shellacking night in and night out. This is just unacceptable, and to me it appears the Flyers may be tanking which is wrong. I get the method of tanking for a higher pick, but this is not what Philadelphia stands for. The City of Philadelphia is built off hard-work it’s a working blue collar city, filled with tons of hard-workers. The fans deserve better than this. Just work, look like they care.

The Flyers need to finish the season strong. For crying out loud, the Rangers are playing their butts off and have passed the Flyers in the standings with 46 points, as compared to the Flyers 44 points. If a person watches the Flyers, again it looks they are playing like they have accepted their fate, this is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Do better Philadelphia Flyers, do better.
