First Period
Adam Gaudette kicked things off, first on the penalty sheet for holding at 4:26. At the 6:58 mark he kicked things off on the scoring sheet netting his 2nd of the early season. Gaudette found twine again this time on the man advantage at 13:00. Olle Lycksell put the Phantoms on the board with his first of the night, first of the season following an important penalty kill at 16:48.
Second Period
Oh captain the new captain, Garrett Wilson knots the game up deflecting the puck past Subban at 11:00 to play in the frame. Olle Lycksell put Lehigh Valley on top, firing the puck off a saucer pass from Elliot Desnoyers at 14:42. Just 10 seconds later, at the 14:52 mark Alexis Gendron scored his 2nd goal in as many games. Shots for the period were 21-6 in favor of the Phantoms, and they led for the game to this point 32-21.
Third Period
Lycksell completed the hatty, a power play tally early into the frame a shot from his knees at the dot at 2:12. Laczynski got the primary helper on the goal, his second assist of the night. Springfield had three power play opportunities in the period, not scoring on any of the three. Two of the three penalties the Phantoms took were bench minors, for too many men on the ice.
