Tonight the greatest game on Earth will be taken outdoors, bias on my part yes. The Devils and the Flyers will do battle for two big points. One key to the game for the Flyers is that they need to start scoring in the first period. They have to set the tone early against a good Devils team, that is voting and clawing for playoff positioning.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” Sean Couturier the Flyers’ Captain said after the outdoor practice. “It was just a stinger, just a bruise. Got me right at the wrong area where I didn’t have any padding. It’s all good.”

Good news on the Couturier front, but Cam York did tell us that he doesn’t know if he will play today or not. Morning Skate has been cancelled, so it looks like he will test things out at warm-ups.

The Devils have a record of 27-22-4, and the Flyers are 29-19 -7 on the season. Both teams need the two points badly, as both are battling for playoff positioning at the moment. The Flyers are fighting for second place, while the Devils are only seven points back of them with a healthy Jack Hughes to boot.

Will the Flyers be able to overcome the injury bug at the moment, and come away with two points? The team is primed and ready to go following practice yesterday, and they are not taken a back by the nostalgia of the event. At the end of the day each player said they know how big this game is, standings wise, so their heads are in the right place.
