The Flyers/St. Louis Blues blockbuster deal is still halted at the moment.

Kevin Hayes and Travis Sanheim will be going to the Blues. Danny Briere has to find a team for Torey Krug to finish the trade, as he doesn’t want to waive his NMC to play for a rebuilding Flyers team. The rest of the return remains fluid, but it does sound like the Flyers would get a first round pick out of this deal.

Krug would have to be flipped to another team for the deal to get done. In that event, the Flyers would acquire more assets for Krug.

Trade #2

Tony DeAngelo will be shipped back to Carolina for a low end prospect. The Flyers will retain 50% making his cap hit $2.5 million. Maybe Briere squeezes an extra pick out of them for retention.

Things were pretty bad obviously in Philly for him to be shipped out for nothing.

The deal has hit a snack, and I believe a pic is the reason why. Briere shouldn’t give anybody away for free, if the Flyers are going to retain 50% of DeAngelo’s salary, then a second to a fifth round pick should be given in return, not just a low end prospect. I’m tired of Carolina fleecing the Flyers, so hopefully this gets ironed out Monday.

  1. I don’t understand the Hayes deal we get to keep 50% of his contract for 3 years for a high draft pick. Danny should have gotten rid of Torts and kept bays who had his best gear last year. Torts is the problem not the players
