Will the Pandemic ever end? Is this the new normal with being quarantined? Everyone is thinking the same thing, what can I do now to occupy my time, or what to do next? Here are some suggestions to occupy your time, until the greatest sport on Earth reconvenes (Hopefully).

Time With Family and Friends

Throughout the course of the hockey season, sometimes your friends and family get the back seat at times inadvertently from watching Flyers hockey, attending practices, doing research on your phone about the team, streaming, and doing stats. This downtime is a great time to bond with your family and friends, cook and clean together, play board games, play video games, just love every minute you spend with them.

Play Darts

If you don’t have a dart board build one, and just like that you could take out Sidney Crosby. The surrounding points of the dart board should be the Flyers Divisional foes in the New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, Washington Capitals, and the Carolina Hurricanes. The bulls eye should be Crosby, and boy that picture would be obliterated in the first hour. Just print off a picture of Crosby off the computer, and attach it to the bulls eye. Boom there goes Crosby crying again.

Catch up on TV Shows

At some point throughout the NHL season, some shows just continue to be taped on your DVR machine. It’s the end of the season, to which you haven’t watched one tv show of your favorite show. By the time the season ends you have 16 shows to watch with little time to watch the entire season. Now is a great time to get ahead, and watch your favorite shows season in it’s entirety (Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Grey’s Anatomy, Empire, This is Us, Blue Bloods, Gold Rush, Jersey Shore). Don’t forget to check out a series called 24 it’s pretty good.

Roller Blade

Feel like your Claude Giroux, or the elite Center Sean Couturier. You know what just think your faster than Crosby, as he wipes his tears from his face after you blow by him, and leave him in the dust. Jump up in the air, and act like you’re hitting Tom Wilson up against the boards. This should really make you feel good about yourself.

Our readers live all over the World, and if you live in a country to where you’re quarantined to your house, I repeat do not roller blade on the good wooden floors. Use the outdoor patio to do such, or the basement.

Listen to Podcasts

At Flyersnittygritty.com our podcast “Gettin Gritty Wit It” won’t stop. We will continue to tape every Monday night at 730pm, and we are now featured on iTunes, Spotify, and Spreaker. There is just so much to talk about, to include prospects, the draft, and free agency. This give us quality time to evaluate these big areas. Moreover, @oandpuck, @HW_Radio_, @TheBSBPodcast (Broad Street Bully), @flyersbroadcast with Jason Myrtetus, Bill Meltzer, and Chris Therien, @BSH_Radio, @dp4media, and lastly @SnowTheGoalie podcasts are good, as well.

Play Records

Play a record of Lauren Hart, and relive Flyers hockey through the best anthemist in the NHL. She’s the best anthemist by far, and it’s not even close. If you finish her record(s) Elvis, Bruce Springsteen, AC/DC, LL Cool J, or Kenny Rogers will do.

Play Video Games

NHL 20 on Playstation 4 and on the Xbox can never get old. It’s pretty neat that you can use current rosters, and unlock secret players. It never gets old, never. Don’t forget about Fortnite, Minecraft, World of Warcraft, or The Legend of Zelda either.

This is a tough time for all parties involved, but we (As humans) will get through this. The value of a human life is far more important than a sporting event, so let’s hope this pandemic ends soon. Flyers fans are the best in the business, please stay safe and remain healthy through this.
