The Flyers have not played the New York Islanders in the Playoffs in over 30 years, 33 to be exact. So some could say it is long overdue, I would be one of them. This is going to be a fun series to watch and a rivalry will be fully reborn. For my whole life being born in 1996, the New York Rangers and Flyers have always been the rivalry that’s always talked about in regards to New York teams. Well not this year, as the Flyers battle the Islanders in the second round of the playoffs after having three very competitive games with them in the Regular Season (0-2-1 unfortunately). Even in the losses the Flyers showed fight in the regular season and two of those games were before the Flyers fully hit the ground running. This series is going to be a battle of wits behind the bench between AV and Trotz. It also is going to be another fun goalie battle with Semyon Varlamov being at the top of his game, and the Flyers young star Carter Hart. As our very own Yariv Wolok said earlier, I am not afraid of the Islanders either. With that being said though this is definitely going to be a fun back and forth battle to watch. I say Flyers in Six. For more please check out the video. Have a great safe and pleasant day everyone, Enjoy the hockey.
