Our Beloved Flyers have been getting key play from all lines this year in order to lead to their success. That has not stopped in the playoffs. The only thing that has changed is they have gotten mostly all their scoring from their bottom three lines, but I think that’s a good thing to see. This team is full of depth and it shows even when our top line doesn’t play full boar we still get the wins. That’s a sign of a great system and great coaching. On top of that, it shows the wonderful play from the depth guys if they can even be called that anymore. Spoiler they can’t. Against Montreal, who just doesn’t have the line depth offensively or defensively beyond top lines to match up against the Flyers; it is going to be key to continue to see these guys own the ice. Furthermore, a key factor is also the top line clicking at full force. I personally believe that is right around the corner from happening. Some key Players to mention that had a stellar Round Robin are Scott Laughton (3G 2A), NAK (2G), Kevin Hayes (4A), and of course both our netminders that we will get into shortly.

The Flyers just need to keep doing their thing and capturing momentum. With that the top line will continue to get assists but one would think that it too would lead to a more productive overall offense. I for one am for sure one of those people. The Flyers first line is going to be fine and actually a key factor for beating the Canadiens. Only Montreal’s top lines match up well against them, and I believe the Flyers top line will be better. I believe they are going to prove to anyone in doubt that they were just doing what they needed in the Round Robin. Personally, I believe playing a non net front presence game was by design actually, and also then affected the top line numbers. They could have purposely not shown all or many of their cards in the Round Robin, but yet they managed to sweep it. Again, that shows signs of great coaching, style of play, and players. Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher and Alain Vigneault have done a heck of a job with this team pushing all the right buttons. Derek Grant has been great since being acquired. Nate Thompson, Matt Niskanen, and Justin Braun all bring experience and a winning pedigree as well. Fletcher just did a phenomenal job of putting the finishing touches on this team, and AV and his experienced coaching staff did a stellar job of putting everyone in the right sports to succeed.

Now we get a matchup for the ages as we get to see Carter Hart go up against one of his mentors (and models his game around) in Carey Price. Price is a wiz in net, and was obviously the main reason the Canadiens advanced in the first round along with Defencemen Shea Weber and Jeff Petry among others. Now Price gets to go up against a young Phenom and star netminder Carter Hart. So it is a battle of stars in net that’s for sure. We all for one know this will not faze Hart though. He has already shown time and time again how remarkable he can be in any big game situation. Hart is a monster as is Price. For Flyers fans however, we hope the Price is Wrong (Not the “Price is Right”) this series, and the Flyers are able to pull off that series win. Our very own Lance Green and I feel the Flyers will not take the Canadiens lightly, but do believe they should line for line outmatch them. Especially lines 2-4, and the bottom two defensive pairings, as well. They just don’t have the depth the Flyers do and it makes sense. The Canadiens were on the outside looking in before the stoppage, and the Flyers on the other hand were clicking on all cylinders. So as I said in the video below, it’s time to seek and destroy baby as the Flyers are poised and ready to be top dogs in the East, with a real chance to compete for Lord’s Stanley Cup. Let’s go Flyers!!!Â
