Kevin Hayes has really taken his offensive game to another level this season, and for his efforts he was able to participate in All-Star weekend. A weekend that included his nephew Beau, and tons of friends and family that made the trek to Florida to watch him play in his very first All-Star Game. This All-Star Game meant a lot to his late brother Jimmy Hayes, as it was Jimmy’s wish to see him play in an All-Star Game. Hayes and the Metropolitan Division lost to the Atlantic Division 10-6.
Hayes netted two assists in a 10-6 losing effort for the Metropolitan Division. He was playing in his first All-Star game, and he was mainly used as a Defenseman believe it or not.
This is a well deserved honor for the 30-year-old Flyers forward in Hayes. He was seen in the locker room talking to Sidney Crosby, to which Hayes could be seen saying “It’s a Philly thing,” while Crosby was seen laughing 😆😆😆 (Joking), but the two were talking before the game.
For Hayes and his family it was still a special moment for him to play in this event. Hopefully, this fuels him for the rest of the season for the Flyers.
