It’s looking pretty unlikely that Santeri Sulku signs with the Flyers at this point.
Today (June 1, 2026) is the deadline for the Flyers to sign the 2022 7th-round pick (197th overall) to an entry-level contract, or his NHL rights expire and he becomes a draft-related unrestricted free agent. As of the latest info:
- He’s still listed as unsigned by the Flyers
- He’s under contract with KooKoo in Finland’s Liiga through 2026-27.
I have recently reported the Flyers might simply let his rights expire rather than use one of their limited ELC slots on a long-shot late-round prospect.
No signing announcements have come through yet today.Sulku is a big-bodied (6’4 ~200 lbs), left-shot forward/winger-Center who’s shown some promise in Liiga, but as a deep draft pick with limited projection, he’s not a high priority for the organization. If they don’t sign him by 5pn EST today, other teams could pursue him as a UFA.
