Any friend or recommendation of Wayne Simmonds is already loved by me and I know from following social media most of our fan base as well. When the name Zayde Wisdom is mentioned most if not all fans know who is being talked about. Just like David Kaše, Wisdom yet again proves the Flyers know how to pick them from the fourth round on. Wisdom being the
fourth-rounder while Kaše was a fifth in 2015. Honestly, the Flyers are a top three if not the top team at picking late-round talent since former General Manager Ron Hextall was at the helm. Now that same successful streak is being carried into the Chuck Fletcher era. This is huge and great to see for the future success of the team.

The young 18-year-old in Wisdom as such with Kaše is off to a great start. He even more so than Kaše, will never back down from anyone. Wisdom is also a very good and efficient skater already, and he is only going to get better. He almost netted a hat trick in overtime this past Sunday before assisting the winning goal to Kaše. Those two seem to have good chemistry already. That is huge for the young Phantoms. His first goal was something Phantoms fans and eventually, Flyers will see often. He crashed the net and capitalized. Then his other goal was some revenge on Rob O’Gara who had that odd backhand goal. Wisdom took the puck from O’Gara and sniped one for the then game- tying goal.

Wisdom is not even supposed to be in the AHL yet but because of the uncertainty surrounding the OHL he is, and it appears he is taking full advantage. Before Sunday Wisdom had everything but points. He looked good, smart, and efficient while on the ice. Now in game three, he translated those skills to the score sheet potting two goals and a clutch assist for the first three points of his professional career. Don’t look now but Simmonds might end up being a Godsend for the Flyers while on the team and once off the team. Wisdom looks like a high quality later round pick and is already looking very efficient in the AHL at only 18 years of age. Do not be surprised if this kid is a quick riser to the NHL. Thanks for the read all. Hope you enjoyed it. Go Phantoms, stay safe.
