Flyers’ hockey is almost back folks. We will receive clips of the sounds of skates hitting the ice, and the chirping that goes along with the sport of hockey starting Monday July 13, 2020, as Phase 3 (Training Camp) opens. Lettttttt’s Goooo Flyersssss. Without further delay, here are our answers to your questions.

Forwards:

G, Coots, Voracek

JVR, Hayes, TK

Farabee, Patrick?, Pitlick

Raffl, Laughton, NAK

Defense:

Provy, Niskanen

Sanheim, Myers

Hagg, Braun

Some people will call me crazy, but I believe Nolan Patrick will be at Flyers training camp tomorrow. If he wasn’t going to attend, then I believe the Flyers would have said such to get ahead of the situation.

Well to be the best you have to beat the best. I would love to see the Flyers play the ST. Louis Blues. Lot’s of story lines here with Brayden Schenn and Craig Berube. Not to mention Brian Elliott playing against his former team possibly. It would be a good one for the ages. Gosh this would be good, and I could really see myself climbing Billy Penn if the Flyers win it all.

The New York Islanders would be the team I fear most. They are a well coached hockey team with Barry Trotz leading the charge. The Islanders also won the season series 3-0 against the Flyers. For some reason, the Flyers just don’t match up well against the Isles. I also think the New York Rangers will upset the Carolin Hurricanes.

@phillyboy619- #FlyersMail what do the Flyers do with their first round pick? And if they keep it who do you see them getting?

I think the Flyers will keep their pick and draft a natural goal scorer in Jacob Perreault from the Sarnia Sting. The Flyers will have a good pick here at 26 (At the moment), really some first round talent will fall into the second round. There really isn’t a bad player to choose from in the first round.

The Flyers will make it to the Eastern Conference Finals. If they play the Boston Bruins they may struggle in a SEVEN game series. If it were a five game series, I would venture the Flyers to win. The Flyers lack physicality to keep up with Boston in a seven game series.

Some playoff standouts: Carter Hart, Joel Farabee, The Captain, Sean Couturier, Ivan Provorov, Travis Sanheim, Jakub Voracek, and TK.

Claude Giroux, Kevin Hayes, Sean Couturier, Jakub Voracek, and Carter Hart. These give players here will kill it, and the Flyers will ride high to the Eastern Conference Finals.

That’s a great question about the teams sitting in the stands scouting, and I do not believe they are. I could be wrong.

For any player wishing to opt out (Penalty Free) of Phase 3/4, the deadline for the player notifying his club in writing is Monday at 5pm Est. Failure to comply with the protocols in place in the bubble could lead to significant financial penalties, and potentially the loss of draft picks. For instance, players who are authorized to leave the bubble (for medical reasons or extenuating personal circumstances) can return. However, they have to quarantine upon return, and have four negative tests over a four day period. If the player doesn’t comply with this rule, watchout.

Oskar Lindblom was ruled out of the 24 team playoff format the day he rang the bell. Chuck Fletcher has been diligent, and really cares about these players. I think it’s best for health reasons that Lindblom doesn’t play until there is a vaccine, but I’m being over cautious. Now if the doctors say he can return, then fair game. Health is too far important, and always remain #Oskarstrong.

Nolan Patrick should return for Phase 3. I think if he wasn’t going to be there the Flyers would have gotten ahead of this, and said otherwise. I fully expect Patrick to be at training camp tomorrow. If he’s healthy he should play in my opinion, we shall see.

I see Alain Vigneault interchanging Carter Hart and Brian Elliott each game, until they are able to establish a rhythm. Coming back after a five month layoff is tough, so Elliott will see some key starts.

Nolan Patrick should return for Phase 3. I think if he wasn’t going to be there the Flyers would have gotten ahead of this, and said otherwise. I fully expect Patrick to be at training camp tomorrow.

Claude Giroux, Sean Couturier, Jakub Voracek, Kevin Hayes, Scott Laughton, Nate Thompson, Joel Farabee, NAK, Mark Friedman, Kirill Ustimenko, German Rubtsov, Connor Bunnaman, Carsen Twarynski, Alex Lyon, Carter Hart, Andy Andreoff, Ivan Provorov, Travis Sanheim, Philippe Myers, Robert Hagg, and Shayne Gostisbehere. I will say Tyler Pitlick and Justin Braun might be waiting for their results of their Covid tests to come back, as I saw pictures of them at the airport. The Flyers leave for the hub city on July 26. Here’s a picture of the critical dates below:
