The big man, 6’2″ 205 pound, Wade Allison is set to return tonight for the Western Michigan University Broncos. Finally right, as he has been sidelined with an injury since the middle of November. Allison is physical, good along the boards, and creates a net front presence that the Flyers could use in the future.

The young Broncos product just wants to show people that the Flyers did not make a mistake by drafting him. If a person has seen Allison play in prior years, then he or she would notice his gifted hands. He can shoot and pass on top of being a physical guy. Allison enjoyed a great freshman year by registering 12 goals, and 17 assists for a total of 29 points in 36 games played. He really enjoyed the pressure of his first year. In turn, it actually made him a more physical player, as Allison explained to me in 2017 during an interview.

Injuries have really derailed his Collegiate career last season, and a good part of this season, as well. It’s ashame for a gifted big man like Allison to endure these injuries, as he told the media in June at Developmental Camp that last year’s injuries really took a toll on him “Mentally.”

Whatever the case maybe, hopefully, Allison can right the ship the rest of the way for the Broncos. For the season, he has registered one goal, and two assists in seven games played.

Lastly, Ronnie Attard, a 2018 gifted Flyers draft pick, Right-Handed defenceman, like Allison, will return from injury tonight, as well, for the Broncos. He has registered four goals, and one assist in ten games played. Attard really has shown the Broncos his great vision of the ice, and that his passing abilities rank off the charts, as well.

It should be a great night for the Assistant Captain Allison, and Attard. To finally play the game they love once again being 100% healthy finally. Hopefully, they kill it tonight against Notre Dame.

  1. We should not give up on Allison yet, because we badly lack physical and skilled goalscorers in our team! Ronnie Attard is interesting case, cause he is labelled boom or bust prospect, and if we get lucky, then we might have our version of Colton Parayko in our hands!
