Flyers’ Defensemen Rasmus Ristolainen (upper-body injury, currently on IR) and Cam York (upper-body) will both miss tonight’s game against the Detroit Red Wings.
Flyers’ Head Coach Rick Tocchet confirmed neither is traveling to Detroit. Ristolainen is listed as day-to-day and “getting better,” with a possible return as early as Saturday against Ottawa. York has also been day-to-day.
The Flyers are already dealing with other absences (including Travis Konecny), so younger defensemen like Oliver Bonk and David Jiricek are expected to continue filling bigger roles on the blue line.
