Over the last eight games played the Philadelphia Flyers have gone winless with a record of 0-6-2 during a critical stretch of the season.

Due to their collapse, the Flyers are no longer in a playoff spot when it appeared they were well on their way to qualifying for the post-season just a month ago.

From March 24th and onwards the Flyers likelihood of making the playoffs dramatically decreased from an 88 percent chance to just a four percent chance as of April 10th.

This Flyers team showed consistency and resilience repeatedly over 70 games but only manged to score 18 goals during the last 8 games while allowing 42. Overall, it’s been a very uncharacteristic finish for the Flyers considering their strong play for majority of the season.

On this week’s episode of the Gettin Gritty Wit It podcast, Yariv and I welcomed Jason Myrtetus the host of Flyers Daily to the show.

We analyzed the disappointing finish to the Flyers regular season. Along with what might have contributed to the winless streak, the team’s drop off in play, and a ton more.

Thanks for listening and for the support!
