Flyers’ Head Coach Rick Tocchet said this morning that forward Denver Barkey (lower-body injury) is day-to-day and that he doesn’t think it’s serious.

“Barks is day to day. He’s getting evaluated now. I’d say day to day, and not serious.” – Flyers’ Head Coach Rick Tocchet said at morning skate yesterday

Barkey left Monday’s pre-season game against the Washington Capitals after a hit from Martin Fehervary late in the first period, took one short shift to open the second, and didn’t return. It was an unfortunate turn of events, as Barkey is vying for a Center spot.
The 21-year-old Forward in Barkey was getting evaluated yesterday and wasn’t at the non-game group skate. Good news overall for the young forward, who was having a really good camp.
Dan Vladar
Dan Vladar left the Flyers’ pre-season game against the Bruins last night (Sept. 22) in the first period with an upper-body injury and didn’t return.
It happened when he went down to play a rebound and Bruins forward Tanner Jeannot made contact with his right arm/skate area. Vladar lost his stick, was clearly favoring the arm, and headed to the bench. The team officially listed it as upper-body; Aleksei Kolosov took over in net.
No further update on the severity yet—coach Rick Tocchet said after the game that he was still being evaluated. Fingers crossed it’s just a precautionary thing and nothing major.
