Carter Hart was one of the best players for the Flyers this past season. The Flyers continue to fight through “Speed” bumps, as they are endured another up and down season. However, believe it or not Hart played well and on most nights gave his team a shot to win. Hart was decisive, as he made some nice 10 bell save after 10 bell save at times.
Hart recently made his Instagram account private, and removed his Flyers bio and social media went through a storm that day. Although, it should be noted that Hart still has Flyers pictures on his account. Through all this he’s back in town well ahead of training camp. Even so much so, apparently he was very happy last night at a season ticket holder event, where Flyers fans were able to have a meet and greet with players.
Lot’s of rumors were swirling that him going private on Instagram was correlated to the Hockey Canada investigation, or that he doesn’t want to be a Flyer anymore. Hart did say to the media at exit interviews that he loves playing for Philly, “I love playing for this city,” Hart said. In the end no one really knows how the investigation will turn out for these multiple players who are accused of the 2018 Hockey Canada investigation, but until a credible report surfaces with details of punishments/suspensions, they remain just that, rumors. These said players have a right to due process. Now by no means am I discrediting the said victim in the investigation, but these players do have a right to due process.
How many times did people hear Hart is standing on his head last season, “Hart stands on his head for us. Hartsy’s making some big saves,” from Scott Laughton or, “He was big for us tonight,” Laughton said following a game against the Devils earlier in the season.
As it stands, Carter Hart is the franchise goalie for the Flyers. Yes, Danny Briere should listen to offers for him, but it has to be one hell of an offer for him to pull the trigger on trading Hart. He should not be traded for a bag of pucks, and redo one of the worst trades in Flyers history (Trading Sergei Bobrovsky). They have learned to be more patient with making these stupid colossal failures. However, a team will not make a credible offer to the Flyers until the details of the 2018 Hockey Canada investigation are released and finalized. That is true,
Hart got off to a great start to the season, with his Goals Against Average well under two, and his Save Percentage was well over a .920, as well. Then the orange and black and Hart started a trend of winning one and losing one, and none of that fault lies on Hart.

Hart continues to move post to post well, track pucks well, and has a hot glove hand. He continues to peppered with shots, but his rebound control was quite exquisite last season. This is a young Flyers team, so hopefully this team continues to find their identity at some point this coming season.
In the end, Hart has arrived well before he was supposed to report for training camp that begins on September 20 (Physicals), with the first on-ice portion beings September 21st. Until something credible arises, Hart deserves better than to tarnish his name publicly. Obviously, he is excited for the season to begin, and is happy being in the City of Philadelphia once again.
