Glove save Aaron Taylor, and another spectacular glove save by Taylor. Much like Carter Hart, Taylor has a really good glove hand. He’s like a a magician, as he waves his glove hand in the air to capture the puck in his mitt.

Taylor hails from Gormley, ON, CAN, and hockey was in blood practically from birth. He used to play open hockey with Flyers young prospect Morgan Frost nonetheless, to which Frost would really impress Taylor, as Taylor said Morgan would always get the best of him. However, Taylor took the next step in his hockey career, and became the young prized possession of the Delaware Thunder.

The young 23-year-old in Taylor made a whopping 1,431 saves in 44 games played for the Thunder, for an average of 32 saves per game. His first 40 save victory came over the Danville Dashers, as Taylor told me during warm-ups, “I’m getting the W tonight. We are going to win this game. We have a great group of guys here.” For his strong efforts, he was named as the team’s MVP (Most Valuable Player) award this past week:

This isn’t just an award for Taylor. These type of accolades mean a lot to him just like the 1,000th save puck, “That one is staying with me,” Taylor told me after a game in February, “That was pretty special.” Taylor won’t kill you with his stats, but he did carry the team on many occasions.

Taylor is a fine young man, and one that really just impresses people. Whether, it’s on the ice or off, Taylor really bleeds the sport of hockey. Will he play with his old pal in Flyers prospect Morgan Frost one day? Maybe not, but he still has a wicked glove hand nonetheless.
