“We’re excited to have Tyson be a key part of our long-term future,” Flyers’ General Manager Daniel Briere said today. “He has established himself as an important piece of the foundation we’re building here. Since coming up through our system, he’s continued to improve and develop every step of the way into a consistent offensive contributor while also being a trusted and reliable 200-foot player. We have a great deal of confidence in him and believe he’ll play a significant role as we continue building toward a successful team for years to come.”

The Flyers have re-signed him to a $7.1 million AAV ($56.8 million total value). This was expected to be announced around noon ET on July 1, 2026.

Quick Context:

  • Foerster was coming off his previous 2-year bridge deal (signed May 2025, $3.75M AAV / $7.5M total), which he earned after a strong breakout showing (including 25 goals in a prior season and solid production like 13 goals in 29 games recently). nhl.com
  • This long-term deal locks in a young, promising winger for the Flyers as they continue building the roster. He remains a key part of their forward group.

It’s a big commitment from General Manager Danny Briere to secure homegrown talent. Flyers fans should be excited about the stability on the wing.
