The Flyers took on the Boston Bruins in game 1 to start the Round Robin series, three games in which the Flyers would take on the top three teams in the Eastern Conference to determine the official seeding of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Fortunately, the Flyers handled their business against both the Bruins 4-1, and the Washington Capitals 3-1 respectively. They have received some great play from players like Scott Laughton, who has scored a goal in every game in the Bubble arena in Toronto (Four to be exact). Guys like Kevin “Hollywood” Hayes, who had a dazzling play to set up Laughton for a goal against the caps. The Flyers held on and finished the Caps off 3-1 to move to 2-0 on the round robin series, and this sets up a “Winner take all” matchup up with the Tampa Bay lightning, this Saturday, time to be determined.

Remembering an ultimate rival with the Flyers and Lightning back in the early 2000’s, matchups against players like Martin St. Louis, Vinny Lecavalier, and Nikolai Khabibulin. Reliving those games will bring back such an intense match up for his Saturday. A matchup which will determine who is the best in the Eastern Conference.

The Flyers have had their struggles this season against the lightning, while losing the season series 0-2. However, there seems to be a change in the air. The Flyers are one of the hottest teams in the playoffS, and I think they can do it. They will need all hands on deck and great goaltending from Carter Hart. This is the matchup we all have been waiting for. Everything is on the line. It’s time for the Flyers to take the number one spot and get ready for a potential matchup with the future 8th seed. Everyone sit back, grab yourself favorite beverage and hockey snack, and let’s prepare for the ultimate showdown with the Flyers and the Lighting. It’s now or never!

Flyers vs lighting Prediction:4-2 Flyers win
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
