With more of an NHL roster taking shape for the past half a week or so at Flyers camp. Now everyone is starting to see some NHL’ish lines starting to formulate. It is understandable for some to predict lines for the upcoming season, and that is what this article is about. This is merely a prediction of lines for the upcoming season that lies ahead for the orange and black, and yes these lines will include both Tyson Foerster and Bobby Brink. It’s time to let some of the youth play, and both have had solid camps. It’s time to take off the gloves of these talented young prospects, it’s time for the Brink and Foerster show with the orange and black.

Allison, Poehling

Some things to note: Foerster has played on his off wing a few times throughout his professional career, so this would be no different for him. I guarantee you if you asked him would he be comfortable on his off wing if you were at nail spot for opening night, he would say absolutely. Owen Tippett has played on the left wing in the past, so this would also be no different for him. Although, Brink has more NHL experience than Foerster, I think it’s imperative he starts on the right side as he has not played in the NHL in some time.

Is it easy leaving Allison or Poehling out of the opening night lineup? The answer is no, both have had good camps and pre-seasons for that matter. They have produced, and both are scoring. In addition, both Allison and Tanner Laczynski were on the outside looking in before camp began. This means that Laczynski would be waived, with the intent of sending to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, while both Allison and Poehling are the extra forwards in case of injury.

Is it possible for both Brink and Foerster to win a spot on opening night? The short answer is yes, but they both have to produce at the NHL level, or they could be sent back to the Phantoms at some point. It’s highly unlikely this comes to fruition to at least start the season. One will definitely make the club, but it’s unlikely both do. Consistency is the key word here for both of these young, talented prospects. Let’s see how things shape up this week at Flyers camp, that will give everyone a more clearer understanding of how the lines might shape up for opening night.
