Patrick Brown is a player that some Flyers fans may not know, but one they should get to know, especially since he was claimed off waivers yesterday to serve as the teams 12th Forward when the season opens on Friday night.
A native of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Brown stands at 6’1 and weighs 210 pounds. He can be physical at times, and Brown has NHL experience. Brown has played 33 games in the NHL between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Vegas Golden Knights organizations, and has tallied three goals and one assist for his efforts. He tallied two goals last year in the playoffs in 12 games played, and he brings leadership to the locker room.
Brown, 29, is a former captain of Boston college hockey, the Charlotte checkers, and the Silver Knights. He has failed in a sense to being a regular in an NHL lineup, but Brown is highly respected, especially in the Vegas Golden Knights organization, even fans loved him.
Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher continues to revamp the leadership not only with the Flyers. Brown will slide in as the 12th Forward when the season begins on Friday, and brown will be reunited with his friend in Kevin Hayes. They were teammates together when they played at Boston College, so now this is the Kevin Hayes Flyers (Joking).
This native of Michigan in Brown is not afraid to stick up for his teammates. That is what separates him from a lot of players, but he is skilled n the same token. Brown’s scoring abilities may have not of translated to the NHL level from his NCAA days with Boston College, as he tallied 43 points in 120 games played (21g,22a).
Some people may have not have heard about Brown, but once again he is the 12th Forward for the orange and black. He will start his Flyers career on a line with Nate Thompson and Nicolas Aube-Kubel.

Oh great. Dumpster diving again. Chuck. And AV are kings of shopping at the ” goodwill”” of the NHL
Let me guess. A cement footed 10-15 goal scorer. Mucker & grinder. How many offensively challenged slow as molasses Never have been Bums is AV going to collect so he doesn’t have to coach???
This has been the Flyers M.O. for 20 plus years. Talent wins cups not a bottom 6 full of slow footed offensively challenged Bums.
